Jeff Tisman’s Classes:

Morning with the Bride- A bridal prep masterclass

Live Demonstration

Beginner, Intermediate

Class Description:

Ok. You’ve set the alarm. Your gear is packed. You’re on your way to the big day.

Walk with me as I show you how I approach bridal prep in the morning. I don’t have a formula — but I have a bag of tricks and ideas. See how approaching the day with an open mind and fresh eyes keeps you from falling into the same rut, week after week.

We’ll be working with OCF and natural light, but even more important is how I create an experience for my bride so she truly enjoys her day. I am not a hands-off photographer. I believe in crafting an experience — while also knowing exactly when to step back and let moments unfold.

You will walk out of this class energized and full of new ideas to bring to your next morning with the bride.

Quite often I invite my attendees to become part of the lesson. I want you to feel what it’s like for the couple to be in these moments. Be prepared for fun — and even some touches of heartfelt emotion.

It all comes together to start the wedding day off rocking.

What to Bring to Class:

You are welcome to bring gear and photograph what I am showing. You should have a few weddings under your belt and an openn mind. I do not do typical things you would expect.

Primary Topics: Weddings

From Blah to Brilliance: Elevate the expected.

Hands-On

Beginner, Intermediate

Class Description:

Ok. Now shit is about to get real.

The ceremony has ended — and now you have to deliver. Portraits. Rain or shine. No excuses.

Let’s get rid of those boring, repetitive poses that happen week after week. In this class, I’ll share some of my favorite couple and wedding party ideas designed to give your couple a true experience — not just a photo.

I’ll show you images that literally have couples saying “We need that photo at our wedding.”

You’ll see first hand that when you give your couples genuine prompts and creative direction, the posing comes naturally — and your couples are actually having fun.

Often my attendees to my classes are involved with the models. I want you to feel what  your couples feel. Get involved and have some fun. Come ready to be inspired. One attendee from last year saying “Best teacher all week. Nothing but killer advice. If there is one class I recommend , it will always be Jeff’s class “From Blah to Brilliance”

What to Bring to Class:

Required gear is an open mind and a willingness to step out of that comfort zone and start being bold.

Primary Topics: Posing, Weddings

Light that dance floor up! Using OCF to capture the story.

Live Demonstration

Beginner, Intermediate

Class Description:

It’s just a dark room. And you.

You walk in and think: “What am I going to do? I can’t bounce off the walls and the ceiling is way too high.”

No worries. I’ve got you.

I’ll show you how — with just one OCF light — you can walk out of that room with killer photos. One flash. That’s it. I’ll share how I approach toasts to beautifully light both the person speaking and the couple, and reveal my technique for creating gorgeous, warm candlelight look during the toast.

We’ll also cover my three-light setup for a more dynamic, polished look. And if time allows, I’ll walk you through my signature champagne spray photo — an experience your couple will never forget.

There’s a lot to cover. So let’s hit that dance floor and crush it.

What to Bring to Class:

Basic knowledge of flash.

Primary Topics: Lighting – Off-Camera (Flash or Constant), Weddings
