Light Wars: Flash vs. Constant Lights in the Ultimate Headshot Showdown
Speaker: (Website) (Social Media)
When it comes to creating impactful headshots, one of the biggest questions photographers have is, “Should I use Flash or Constant Lights?”
In this fast-paced, hands-on class, headshot & branding photographer, Anthony LaMothe, will guide you through a live lighting showdown, comparing flash and constant lights so you can confidently decide which lights and modifiers fit your style and your clients’ needs. You’ll see exactly how each light source & modifier shapes the face, affects the mood, and impacts the final image.
This is an interactive lighting lab where you’ll spend time shooting and experimenting with:
– Light direction and quality
– Modifier choices and their impact
– Making intentional lighting choices, not guessing
– Directing your subject
Whether you’re a beginner wanting to understand lighting better, or an experienced photographer looking to refine your headshot work, this workshop will give you practical techniques you can immediately apply to your headshot sessions.
You’ll Leave With:
– A stronger understanding of when to choose flash vs. continuous light
– Hands-on experience shooting both lighting styles
– Lighting setups and ideas for your next headshot session
