Golden Hour Anytime: Mastering Outdoor Maternity Lighting
Speaker:
Amy Guenther (Website) (Social Media)
Learn how to create golden hour magic even on cloudy days! We’ll show you how to use off-camera flash in outdoor maternity sessions to mimic that warm, glowing sunlight clients love, giving you stunning results no matter the weather. We will be demonstrating this technique along with some posing tips and prompts with live maternity models and Westcott lighting. Bring a Westcott trigger if you want to shoot!
Monochromatic Milestones
Speaker:
Amy Guenther (Website) (Social Media)
We’ll show you how we use monochromatic setups on seamless paper to create timeless, studio milestone portraits. We’ll cover ideal props for different ages, how to shoot different angles for more variety, how to position the light to achieve perfect soft lighting and how to keep your setups simple and timeless. With a milestone model in class, you’ll see firsthand how to photograph babies at different stages, from 3 months to one year. While this isn’t technically a hands-on class, bring a Westcott trigger if you have one, just in case we have some extra time for you to practice shooting!
Newborn Workflow Made Simple: Mastering Table & Prop Poses
Speaker:
Amy Guenther (Website) (Social Media)
We know you newborn photographers love to see a workflow from start to finish… this is that class! We’ll walk you through our exact posing workflow using a posing doll, so you don’t have to worry about trying to hear us over screaming babies. We’ll cover both table and prop poses and transitions, including the Potato Sack, Froggy, Basket, Bucket, Box, Bum-Up, Side-Lying, Forward Facing, Mug Shots, and Heart Pose. You’ll see the exact order we use in real sessions and learn how to create variety for your galleries without adding unnecessary time to your workflow.
